Andersen Door Installation: The Miami Gardens Owner’s Guide

If you have an Andersen door with a failed or failing part, we stock the hinge sets, rollers, weatherstripping, and locking hardware that match your door, and we install them for a typical range of $185 to $540, depending on the part and your door series. Most hardware swaps on Andersen doors take less than an hour on site. The way Miami Gardens owners usually find us is the same story: the door starts dragging on the track, or the hinge side sags and the latch stops catching, and suddenly a door that worked fine for fifteen years needs a hand to close.

Call (386) 516-5343

We are an independent service provider, not affiliated with Andersen. What we bring to the table is three decades of setting and sealing doors in South Florida and a truck stocked with the Andersen-specific parts that fail most in this climate. You are not the first person in Miami Gardens to call us about a patio door that binds in July. The heat and humidity here work on door hardware the way salt air works on a car. It is not a question of if. It is a question of which part lets go first.

Which Andersen Models This Applies To

We work on the full Andersen door range that shows up in Miami Gardens homes built across the last forty years. That includes the 200 Series Narroline gliding doors, the 400 Series Frenchwood hinged and gliding doors, the A-Series, and the newer 100 Series composite doors. The gotcha with Andersen is that hardware is series-specific, not universal. A hinge set from a 400 Series Frenchwood will not fit a 200 Series Narroline door, and a roller assembly from a 1980s gliding door is a different part than what is on a door sold ten years ago. If someone tries to sell you “one size fits all” Andersen hardware, walk away.

To identify your door series, check the glass etching in the corner of the panel or look for the Andersen logo stamped on the hinge, handle, or the inside edge of the frame. Sometimes there is a white or silver serial sticker tucked along the top track or on the stile. Take a photo of that sticker before you call anybody. It saves a trip. As for OEM versus aftermarket, we carry genuine Andersen parts and select aftermarket equivalents only where we have seen them outlast the originals in Florida conditions. We quote both on paper, side by side, so you see exactly what you are paying for and which manufacturer warranty applies. That is the Keystone Standard we put on every job.

Signs Your Andersen Door Installation Is Failing

  • Door drags or scrapes on the track. In gliding doors, this usually means the bottom rollers have flattened or the bearings are worn out. In Miami Gardens, roller failure happens years earlier than in drier climates because humidity and fine sand from landscaping work their way into the bearing and grind it down. The door gets harder to slide and then it starts chewing up the track itself, which turns a roller job into a track job.
  • Hinged door sags and the latch misses the strike plate. On 400 Series Frenchwood doors, the hinge screws lose their bite in the frame over time. The door settles, the latch no longer lines up, and you have to lift the handle to lock it. Sometimes this is adjustable with the factory hinge screws. Sometimes the frame has to be re-shimmed. Either way, ignoring it means the weight of the door eventually damages the hinge mortise, and that is a bigger repair.
  • Locking hardware is loose or feels gritty. The multipoint locking systems on A-Series doors are tight-tolerance hardware. Once salt air, humidity, or years of sun exposure through a south-facing entry get into the mechanism, it starts to bind. A lock that is hard to throw is a lock that is about to fail. We would rather replace the lock body before it strands you outside your own house on a Sunday evening.
  • Visible gaps at the weatherstripping or daylight through the frame. Miami Gardens gets real wind-driven rain. When the Andersen weatherstripping compresses or the Q-Lon seal tears, you lose the seal and start paying more to cool the house. If you can stand inside your closed door and see daylight or feel a draft at the jamb, the weatherstripping needs replacement, and in some cases the panel needs re-shimming to sit square in the opening.
  • Fogging or moisture between the glass panes. This is a seal failure in the insulating glass unit, not the door hardware itself, but it is the single most common reason Andersen owners in South Florida call us about a door. Once the seal goes, the only fix is replacing the glass panel within the door. It is a job we do regularly, and it is far less expensive than replacing the entire door.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

In Miami Gardens, you can expect to pay between $185 and $540 for most Andersen door part replacements installed, with the part and labor broken out on the same written quote. Replacing a roller assembly runs on the lower end. Replacing a multipoint lock body or a full hinge set on a Frenchwood door runs higher, especially if the frame needs re-shimming. If the glass panel needs replacing due to a failed seal, that is a separate quote based on the panel size and glass type, and we show you the line-item breakdown before any work starts.

Every install includes the part matched to your door series, adjustment and alignment so the door operates correctly, and a written warranty that covers our workmanship for 90 days under the Done Right Promise. TruePane Windows & Doors has stood behind work in this community since 2008. That is not a franchise slogan. It is how Dale Kessler built the company, and it is the reason our technicians check their own flashing tape before the truck leaves the driveway.

You pay what we quote. No change orders, no surprise line items. A square deal, in writing, before we pick up a tool.

DIY or Call Us?

There are things an owner can safely check: is the track clean, is the weatherstripping torn, is a hinge screw visibly loose. Cleaning the track and confirming what you are dealing with is reasonable. But replacing Andersen door hardware is not a weekend project for most people. Gliding door rollers live under a heavy panel that has to be lifted out of its track. Hinged door hardware means holding a door panel that can weigh well over a hundred pounds. A wrong move with a panel like that is how fingers get broken, tracks get bent, and glass gets shattered.

We have also seen what happens when a homeowner forces a multipoint lock with a stuck mechanism. The lock breaks, the door locks itself, and the repair bill doubles. If the part involves the weight of the panel, the integrity of the opening, or the security of your home, call us at (386) 516-5343. A trained technician can tell you over the phone whether it is a quick hardware swap or something we need to see in person.

What Neighbors Say About TruePane Windows & Doors

★★★★★

"Our bay window had rotted at the sill and two other outfits wanted to talk us into a flat picture window instead. TruePane rebuilt the opening and matched the original look. Neighbors have knocked on the door about it."

GGene A.
★★★★★

"Eleven windows replaced in two days. The crew chief, Marcus, showed me the level on every single frame before they caulked it. My wife noticed the street noise was gone before I did."

RRonald P.
★★★★★

"French doors to the patio, custom size because this house was built in 1961 and nothing is standard. Measured twice, three weeks to fabricate like they warned, and the install day they laid runners over my floors without being asked."

MMarie S.
★★★★

"Two entry doors. Showed up when they said, second day was a half day like they said, and the painter they recommended confirmed the frames were dead plumb. The financing was explained in actual dollars, not a brochure."

JJanet R.
★★★★

"Energy bill was the reason we called. They did not oversell - said the two worst walls of windows would do most of the work and we could stop there. Did those eight with the Low-E glass. August electric bill tells the story."

HHarold W.
★★★★★

"Impact windows on the whole house. They handled the permit, the inspection, and gave me a folder with every approval number for the insurance company. My windstorm premium dropped enough to notice."

BBill T.
★★★★★

"A casement crank had stripped and the sash was swollen shut. The technician, Ray, fixed the crank on the spot and only then talked about replacement for the three windows that were genuinely done. That is why the whole street uses them now."
